Domain Bias: in web search – a user’s propensity to believe that a page (and it’s information presented) is more relevant just because it comes from a particular domain.

This might best be illustrated in an example as follows: when searching for information about an iPhone v-4.0 (for example); a searcher MAY give more credibility to the information found at iphone4.com (does not exist to my knowledge) – than from the manufacturers (apple) website.

This over simplification, is of course, the basis for an infinite number of current scams, and other related problems, dealing with legitimacy of sites and information found on the internet today.
